Course 2 – Alcohol and tobacco: Effects on Infants and Children
The course modules review the following:
- biological effects of alcohol and tobacco exposure (e.g. alcohol-related birth defects and health effects of environmental tobacco smoke)
- scope and epidemiology of alcohol and tobacco use effects on the infant and children population
- social and economic impacts of alcohol and tobacco use on the infant and child population
- screening and intervention for effects of alcohol and tobacco exposure
- program planning and evaluation tools that address programs on alcohol and tobacco exposure in infants and children
